It is a two-channel controller that allows to regulate 80 ballasts/lamps in air-conditioned rooms Gavita Master controller EL2 offers the possibility to define the temperature at which it will lower the lights and the temperature at which it will turn them off.
Control the lighting with your fingertips!
The use Gavita Master controller EL2 allows you to control your devices like the GAVITA PRO LINE (the e-series Gavita): maximum control, ease of use, plug and play installation and safety.
It is a two-channel controller that allows to control 80 ballasts/lamps in air-conditioned rooms Gavita Master controller EL2 offers the possibility to define the temperature at which it will lower the lights and the temperature at which it will turn them off.
The controller offers two channels: a main channel and an auxiliary channel. Both channels can control a group of up to 40 e-series ballasts.
The controller can be set to turn on and off all ballasts connected to it simultaneously
The controller can also be set to toggle between the main channel and the auxiliary channel. Thus, the auxiliary channel and the ballasts connected to it are turned off when the main channel and the ballasts connected to it are turned on and vice versa. A reverse light cycle is intended to be used to alternate the light between two rooms according to the 12/12 hour time system, in order to optimize power consumption.
The controller can be connected to one of the two temperature sensors (in Tracking Mode) or to both temperature sensors (in Reverse Mode) to detect the temperature in the conditioned room(s)
The controller should not replace the air conditioning control equipment.
Besides controlling up to 80 ballasts, the controller can also control two ECM Gavita (External Contactor Modules). These modules can be used to turn on or off auxiliary equipment during on/off periods (CO2 equipment, heating, cooling, etc.). ECMs can also be used to turn on or off additional lighting that is not dimmable, such as ordinary plasma arc lamps (other than those in the e-series)
Unlike a switchboard, which turns on and off the power supply to ordinary ballasts, the controller can control ballasts with a low voltage control signal.
The ballasts and lights connected to the controller are a major source of heat in the air-conditioned room. If, for some reason, the climate control system cannot limit the temperature rise in the climate control room, the lights must be turned down or even off to prevent damage to the crops.
This electronic controller Gavita has two automatic reduction and emergency stop functions that are primarily intended to prevent crop damage
The auxiliary equipment is also governed by the temperature safety features of the controller. The controller has a set of alarm contacts that can be connected to a standard alarm system or to a cell phone module for instant messaging. An alarm will be triggered by a temperature alert, sensor failure or power failure. The controller features a 16 x 2 character OLED display, which provides high contrast and optimum clarity in both dark and bright environments. It offers an explicit menu system with a full-text interface for extremely easy and intuitive operation. There is no need to wade through a code table to set controls or read status. The system is also equipped with status indicators in the form of LED which allow you to see the status of the controller at a glance. The interface language can be selected by the user: English, Español, Français, Deutsch and Nederlands are the standard languages offered. The controller uses low voltage DC to control the ballasts and contactor modules, which makes the system installation safe. Cables for plug & play installation are included with the controller and ballasts.
