Thanks to its composition rich in organic nutrients, Batmix provides your plants with a balanced diet for the first six weeks of cultivation. However, due to its high nutrient concentration, it is recommended for use with established plants, after an initial growth phase. For use with younger plants, prior rinsing is recommended.
When should I start adding nutrients when growing with Batmix?
Batmix is fertilized for about six weeks. When you need to start giving nutrients depends on conditions such as the amount of light per m2, the type of plant and other factors. You can start giving more nutrients once the leaves are more yellos, thats after about six weeks.
Plagron has three organic soils that are pre-fertilized for 6 weeks.
How do I choose which one to use?
Due to its fertilization by Bat Guano, Bat Guano gives your plants a strong taste and smell. You should choose Batmix when quality is most important to you. Royalmix contains a selection of solid natural fertilizers that release nutrients when the plant needs them. Because of this, you can expect higher development and therefore higher yields. Choose for Royalmix when you want to grow organically and when you want to go for the highest yield with a natural fruity taste. Plagron Allmix has a finer texture than Batmix and Royalmix. Because of this, it can better retain more water. This makes Plagron Allmix the right choice if you want organic growth, at high temperatures, in small pots or with high light intensity. What's more, Allmix Plagron Allmix is ideal if you plan to reuse your soil and want to update with Supermix.
Do I need to adjust the pH value if I'm growing with Batmix?
No, combined with our 100% Style Grossir NATURAL you don't need to adjust the pH value.
I read on the website that I need to rinse Batmix before using it. Why should I do this and how can I do it?
Our Batmix is maximally fertilized. For young plants that are not yet used to high EC-values, it can be difficult when they are suddenly planted in maximum fertilized soil. We therefore recommend rinsing the Batmix before placing the plant in the Batmix. This is done by filling the pot (e.g. 10 liters) with Batmix and rinsing with 5 to 10 liters of water. After this, the plant can be planted directly. Fertilizers that are directly absorbed will be flushed out with the water. In the following days, the Batmix EC value will rise again and gradually the non-absorbable fertilizers will be released.
Can I mix Batmix with full soil when I'm increasingly outdoors?
Yes, we advise you to mix Batmix with full soil when your soil is outside very clayey. If your soil is very aerated, we recommend using Bat Guano.
I'll be using Batmix. Can I start feeding plants like Alga Bloom after 4 weeks?
Batmix is fertilized for 6 weeks. For normal plant development, simply start adding plant nutrition such as Alga Bloom after 6 weeks. See appendix Grow 100% natural. If you choose to give additional nutrition (earlier than 6 weeks), we advise you to take a good look at your plant's leaves. If the lower leaves (old leaves) of your plant change color from light green to yellow, you can start with the addition of Alga Bloom.
