The ALIEN® AERO ™ system uses the aeroculture technique for better control of the environment around the root zone .
The nutrient solution is delivered by means of a powerful but silent water pump to micro-sprinklers located on the underside of each lid. The feeding interval and duration can be fine-tuned to the needs of a specific plant species.
The fact that the plants are suspended in the air and the roots are not trapped in any type of substrate makes harvesting and crop rotation quite simple and straightforward.
Eliminating the growing medium is very liberating for the roots: the extra oxygen to which they are exposed translates into faster growth. Aeroponic systems are also extremely water-efficient. These closed-loop systems can use 95% less water than soil-grown plants.
The AERO ™ system can be used as a recirculation or RTW (run to waste) system.
