HPS: high pressure sodium (blooming)
Their spectrum is adapted to the blooming and ripening of the fruits thanks to an unbeatable light output. HPS bulbs contain a tube filled with sodium, mercury and xenon which, when crossed by a powerful electric arc, gives off a warm and intense light.

The SUPERPLANT light bulb range is expanding with the arrival of the HPS electronic ballast bulbs!
The HPS "electronic" bulbs are designed to work specifically with electronic ballasts for better light output, longer life and increased reliability. Their reinforced armature and discharge tube that does not resonate at high frequency solves the problems associated with using a dimmer on a conventional HPS bulb.
Like the rest of the range, the bulbs have been inspected and tested by the DEKRA laboratory, an internationally accredited body for European certification.
Test conducted by the magazine Hortinews on the power PAR / PPFD of the bulbs:
The PPF is the photon flux for photosynthesis and the PPFD is the photon flux for photosynthesis in a given space.
Note: It is important to specify that unlike the Sylvania Grolux, the SuperPlant Electronic bulb is perfectly adapted to electronic ballasts. This puts into perspective its second place in the ranking
Exclusively for horticultural lighting. Not suitable for lighting household rooms.
