The author
William Texier was born in Paris. After studying at the Institut National de Gemmologie in France, then at the Geological Institute of America in Los Angeles, he discovered hydroponics in 1985 and became fascinated by this method of cultivation. With his long-time friend Lawrence Brooke, founder of General Hydroponics, he developed aero-hydroponic systems and conducted research at the White Owl Waterfarm in Sebastopol, California. In 1994, he returned to France and created General Hydroponics Europe with his wife, Noucetta Kehdi.
William Texier is one of the pioneers of innovation in the hydroponics industry. In 2004, he designed and patented bioponics (organic hydroponics). Today, he leads the research and development department of General Hydroponics, in collaboration with a team of researchers from different departments at the University of California.
He publishes articles in the international press and conducts seminars around the world. With thirty years of experience, he is considered a world reference in hydroponics.
