CalMag is specially designed to remedy these mineral deficiencies and promote healthy, vigorous growth.
Calcium and magnesium are essential plant nutrients, but are only absorbed effectively when the soil or water pH is above 6.3. CalMag acts as a calcium and magnesium supplement to remedy these deficiencies and stabilize EC (electrical conductivity) levels in the growing medium. It can also be used to remineralize reverse osmosis water, with excellent results.
By using CalMag, you can harden soft water and provide your plants with the right amount of calcium and magnesium. This will improve overall plant health and help them thrive in freshwater systems. As well as preventing deficiencies, CalMag promotes plant growth and vitality.
To use CalMag, simply add about 1 ml per liter of water to raise the EC (electrical conductivity) to the desired level. To prevent calcium and magnesium deficiencies, you can give your plants 1 ml per 1 liter of water without any other additives, maintaining a pH of 6.5, once a week.
