The CALITEK CK-315R Horticultural Electronic Ballast is a software-controlled digital control device designed to give the most selective growers the versatility and performance of a single lighting system. It should provide years of trouble-free operation, but in the unlikely event of a development defect, please return the unit to your dealer with proof of purchase for warranty repair or replacement.
FEATURES
This electronic ballast is designed with an internal microprocessor in the soft-start lamp and intelligently detects the lamp voltage, current to extend its working hours. The dimmable functions can save energy on both input and output sides. Staggered ignition to be more efficient to avoid inrush current. Perfect self-protection mechanism to prolong its life.

DIMMABLE DESIGN
This design can run a lamp at rated power and is composed of a four-phase controller to set the ballast output to 100%, 75%, 60% or Super Lumen, which will increase the brightness by 10%.
Be sure to run your lamp continuously at 100% for 10 minutes before switching to other settings. Switching settings quickly can damage the lamp.
DECAL ON
When used in groups, this ballast will turn on the lamps separately from 0 to 7 seconds to reduce inrush current.
PROTECTION MECHANISM
Input protection:
High / low voltage; radiation / inrush current / pulse group; overcurrent; power failure.
Output protection:
Open circuit; short circuit; end of lamp life; fault ignition; overvoltage; rectification protection.
Overheat protection:
During operation, internal heat will dissipate through the housing. When the case temperature reaches 85°C, the ballast will gradually reduce the power to 80%; When the case temperature reaches 90°C, the ballast will stop operating until it cools down to 70°C, then return to full power.
Low frequency square wave electronic ballast, for better performance of your grow lamp. The square wave technology, chosen by Calitek to power its CMH315W bulbs, is more expensive to manufacture than sine wave technology but provides the most stable power supply for the lamp, which increases lamp performance.
The square wave design provides a constant maximum voltage to the lamp over a long period of time, which produces more photons of light for your plants. The sine wave design, on the other hand, provides maximum voltage to the lamp for a shorter period of time.
The low frequency avoids problems with RF interference and acoustic resonance (premature lamp failure).
