Unlike a switchboard, which switches the power supply of ordinary ballasts on and off, the controller can control ballasts by means of a low voltage control signal.
The ballasts and lights connected to the controller are a major source of heat in the air-conditioned room. If, for some reason, the climate control system cannot limit the temperature rise in the climate control room, the lights must be turned down or even off to prevent damage to the crops.
This electronic controller Gavita has two functions of automatic dimming and emergency stop which are mainly intended to prevent damage to crops
The controller is equipped with a 16 x 2 character green OLED display, which provides high contrast and optimal clarity in both dark and bright environments. It offers a self-explanatory menu system with a
full-text interface for extremely easy and intuitive operation. There is no need to wade through a code table to set controls or read status. The system is also equipped with LED status indicators that allow you to see the status of the controller at a glance. The interface language can be selected by the user: English, Español, French, Deutsch and Nederlands are the standard languages offered.
The controller uses low voltage DC to control the ballasts and contactor modules, which makes the system installation safe. Cables for plug & play installation are included with the controller and
ballasts.
