It is a two-channel controller for 80 ballasts/lamps in air-conditioned rooms. Gavita Master controller EL2 lets you set the temperature at which it will dim the lights and the temperature at which it will switch them off.
Control lighting with your fingertips!
The
Gavita
Master controller EL2 lets you control devices like the GAVITA PRO LINE (the e-series
Gavita
): maximum control, ease of use, Plug and Play installation and safety.
It is a two-channel controller that can control 80 ballasts/lamps in air-conditioned rooms.
Gavita
Master controller EL2 lets you set the temperature at which it will dim the lights and the temperature at which it will switch them off.
The controller offers two channels: a main channel and an auxiliary channel. Both channels can control a group of up to 40 e-series ballasts.
The controller can be set to activate and deactivate all ballasts connected to it simultaneously.
The controller can also be set to alternate between the main and auxiliary channels. In this way, the auxiliary channel and the ballasts connected to it are switched off when the main channel and the ballasts connected to it are switched on, and vice versa. A reverse light cycle is intended to be used to alternate light between two rooms according to the 12/12 hour time system, in order to optimize current consumption.
The controller can be connected to one of the two temperature sensors (in Tracking Mode) or to both temperature sensors (in Reverse Mode) to detect the temperature in the air-conditioned room(s).
The controller is not intended to replace air-conditioning control equipment.
In addition to controlling up to 80 ballasts, the controller can also control two ECMs Gavita (External Contactor Modules). These modules can be used to switch auxiliary equipment on or off during switch-on or switch-off periods (CO2 equipment, heating, cooling, etc.). ECMs can also be used to switch on/off additional lighting that is not dimmable, such as ordinary plasma arc lamps (other than those in the e-series).
Unlike a switchboard, which switches the power supply to ordinary ballasts on and off, the controller can control ballasts by means of a low-voltage control signal.
The ballasts and lights connected to the controller are a major source of heat in the air-conditioned room. If, for any reason, the air-conditioning control system cannot limit the temperature rise in the air-conditioned room, the lights must be lowered or even turned off to avoid damaging the crops.
This electronic controller Gavita has two functions, automatic reduction and emergency stop, which are primarily designed to prevent crop damage.
Auxiliary equipment is also governed by the controller's temperature safety features. The controller is equipped with a set of alarm contacts that can be connected to a standard alarm system or to a cell phone module for instant messaging. An alarm will be triggered by a temperature alert, sensor failure or power failure. The controller features a 16 x 2-character OLED display, ensuring high contrast and optimum clarity in both dark and bright environments. It features a self-explanatory menu system with a full-text interface for extremely easy, intuitive operation. There's no need to wade through a table of codes to set controls or read status information. The system is also equipped with status indicators in the form of LED which let you see the controller's status at a glance. The interface language can be selected by the user: English, Español, Français, Deutsch and Nederlands are standard. The controller uses low-voltage DC to control the ballasts and contactor modules, ensuring safe system installation. Cables for plug & play installation are supplied with the controller and ballasts.
