Exposure : enjoys sun and tolerates cold well.
How to grow peppermint?
Soil care: cool, clayey and chalky soil.
Exposure: sheltered and sunny.
Sowing: 5 mm deep, 10 cm apart and 50 cm between rows, under cover from March, in the open ground from June. The first harvest is done 2 months after sowing.
Emergence: in 6 to 7 days.
Watering: important.
Harvest: 2 months after sowing, as and when needed.
Conservation: fresh 1 week in a wet cloth but it can also be frozen, dried or macerated.
Origin: present in the gardens since the Middle Ages.
