Sowing and harvesting schedule:
Soil maintenance: deep, soft, light and rich soil.
Exposure: sunny.
Sowing : in a bucket or in the ground by poquet of 3 to 4 seeds. Thin out to leave only one plant every meter and 40 cm between rows. Remember to add compost to your soil before sowing.
Emergence: in 10 to 12 days in soil at 23°C.
Watering: water regularly but be careful, cardoon fears excessive humidity. A lack of water will alter the taste of its ribs. Hoe and mulch in order to preserve humidity.
Associated culture: cardoon appreciates the company of broad beans. Its cultivation cycle is long, so you can associate it with plants that develop more quickly, such as lettuce or radishes
