Growing tips:
Confire cucumbers can be sown in cups in the warmth of at least 20°C. Follow the sowing instructions provided on each seed packet for best results.
Use:
Confire cucumber, also known as cucamelon or melothria scabra, is a small vegetable about the size of an olive and the color of a watermelon, with the flavor of a cucumber. Candied cucumbers can be eaten raw, like cherry tomatoes, as an aperitif or added to salads for a crunchy, refreshing touch. They are also delicious pickled in vinegar, like gherkins. To do this, brush the cucumbers, remove the seeds and sprinkle with salt to allow them to drain. After 24 hours, drain the cucumbers and immerse them in cold white wine vinegar.
