Growing Guide

Soil maintenance: deep, rich and moist soil. No acid soil.

Sowing: 1 cm deep in the nursery, transplant deeply at the 6 leaf stage, 50 cm between plants and rows.

Harvest: from sowing to the obtaining of the plant it takes 1 month to 1 month and half. To collect when the head with a weight of approximately 500 G.

Conservation : 5 days in the vegetable bin, take care to protect the heads from the blows.

Origin: originates from the south of Italy. The word "broccoli" is derived from the Latin bracchium meaning "branch".

In the kitchen

Cook broccoli raw (grated, sliced or in florets with salt) or cooked (steamed, pan-fried or boiled, but always cooked quickly to preserve its properties). The stem is also eaten after peeling.

Low in calories, it is exceptionally rich in vitamins and minerals, especially when eaten raw.
