Weight: 1.2 g
Growing Guide
Soil care: to avoid forked roots, prefer a deeply worked, light, loose, permeable soil without stones.
Sowing: at 0,5 cm of depth in full ground. Thin out to leave only one plant every 4 cm, 35 cm between rows.
Emergence: in 12 to 15 days.
Watering: the carrot appreciates copious watering.
Harvesting: 3 months later.
Conservation : they can be stored dry in sand (in cool, dry and ventilated places : cellar). For that to cut the foliage with the level of the collar.
Origin : old variety sometimes called "Jaune obtuse du Doubs".
Advice from La Semence Bio® : in order to limit the development of weeds, we advise you to carry out a false sowing (preparation of your beds, watering, lifting of the weeds present in your soil) then to practice a thermal burning or by hoeing. As carrots have few leaves, their growing cycle is long.
In the kitchen
Raw, cooked, cook the carrot according to your desires, without forgetting its tops which constitute delicious pesto. Its softness and its slightly sweet taste are declined in salted and sweet version.
Rich in beta-carotene, carrots contain soft fibers, vitamin B6, potassium, magnesium and phosphorus.
