Accessory for pot Autopot the AirDome is a pot accessory designed to increase the amount of oxygen provided to your plants.
The AirDome is designed to increase the air volume around the root zone in the pot.
If you are lucky enough to have a power source in your greenhouse, this little extra device can increase your yields by up to 130%.
It is very simple to use once assembled, which takes less than 30 seconds, the AirDome is placed at the bottom of the pot.
Then you cover it with substrate and connect the AirDome to an air pump. |
|
From a sizing point of view, plan an air pump of about 70 L/h per AirDome. It is possible to use a multi-outlet air pump by connecting each outlet to 1 or 2 AirDomes depending on the power of the air pump.
Example: For an air pump Hailea ACO9610 - 4 Outlets - 600 L/H => Each outlet delivers a flow of 150 L/h. You can connect it to :
- 4 pots of 15 L or 25 L with a flow rate of 150 L/h per AirDome for each of the pots
- 8 pots of 8,5 L with a flow rate of 75 L/h per AirDome for each of the pots
PS: With the use of Autopotit is also possible to mix 8.5 L pots with 15 L or 25 L pots. This will allow you to adjust the number of AirDomes to be fed according to the configuration of the pots used.
To maximize the efficiency of the AirDome, use a "fluffy" and "aerated" quality substrate, consisting of a mixture of 50% good quality absorbent substrate (potting soil, coconut fiber, Rockwool, etc.) and 50% draining substrate (perlite or clay balls)
Do not use peat moss, as it tends to clump and compress, reducing the effectiveness of the AirDome.
