Description :
The UV filter Ubbink AlgClear 20000 filter keeps your pond water clean and germ-free. Once in use, you'll quickly notice a halt in algae growth, then their destruction by UV light.
The AlgClear 20000 UV-C unit can be used in ponds with a maximum volume of 10000 L with fish to 20000 L for a pond without fish.
Principle:
At the inlet, the water is rotated around the UVC glass through a spiral inside the housing. This ensures longer, more effective irradiation of the water. The device is VDE-certified.

Understanding how a UV filter works
Its principle is to sterilize water by eliminating bacteria harmful to fish and phytoplankton that give pond water its greenish appearance. It uses the radiation from the UV lamp, which uses the most germ-killing band of radiation, the C band, with a wavelength between 230 and 280 nanometers.
